The a few miles northwest of Paris situated small city of Pontoise has always been dedicated to the sport of table tennis and has supported it in every way. In the year 1927 the club, called "US PONTOISIENNE" then, became one of the founding members of the French table tennis federation. 1977 then the club began its ascendance. The main focus of its activities was always the support of its youth, leading to great successes in that area.
The constant efforts paid off with numerous French championship titles for the men"s and women"s youth. The club"s current biggest young star is CHAING Peng Lung alongside Zoltan FEJER KONNARTH and Adrian MATTENET. In the year 2004 Pontoise Cergy T. T. won the championship in the French 2nd division, ProB, and advanced to the 1st division, the ProA. This was the beginning for playing in the national elite league and the club is still one of the best in France.
This year they finished the League on second position behind the Hennebont. In the season of 2005/2006 the club achieved 4th place in the championship and reached the semi-final of the ETTU Cup. These outstanding achievements furthermore qualified the club for the European Champions League. Already in this first season, the team was rewarded with some success.
The team reached position two in group C with a minimally better game ratio compared to El Nino Praha and entered the quarterfinal. There they were beaten by the Spanish champion Club Cajagranada Tenis Mesa after a close home defeat. Last year Pontoise played in the ETTU Cup again and reached quarterfinal. They lost against Spain"s Borges Grup Vall in close 3:2 encounter.
